This easy and delicious garlic fried rice is a great way to use up any leftover rice you might have in the fridge! Also known as Filipino garlic fried rice or sinangag, it’s a breakfast staple for many Filipinos worldwide but can also be eaten practically any time of the day.

In a skillet or wok over medium-high heat, add the oil and garlic.
Fry the garlic until just golden, or about 1 minute.
Remove the garlic and set it aside. Leave the oil in the pan.
Turn the heat to high, then add the rice and green onions. Cook for 3 minutes while stirring frequently.
Add the soy sauce, salt, pepper, and reserved garlic. Cook for 2 minutes longer.
Optionally garnish with more chopped green onion before serving. Enjoy!
